The Daily Item, Marblehead Weekly News, and the Lynnfield/Peabody Weekly News reserve the right to correct any typographical or grammatical errors and to delay publication while we verify the death. Once submitted for publication, if necessary, an Obituary may be changed prior to deadline.

The Daily Item Deadlines

Publish Monday: Deadline Sunday at 3pm

Publish Tuesday: Deadline Monday at 3pm

Publish Wednesday: Deadline Tuesday at 3pm

Publish Thursday: Deadline Wednesday at 3pm

Publish Friday: Deadline Thursday at 3pm

Publish Saturday: Deadline Friday at 3pm

Lynnfield/Peabody Weekly Deadlines

Publish Thursday: Deadline Tuesday at Noon

Marblehead Weekly News Deadlines

          Publish Thursday: Deadline Wednesday at Noon

Holidays: We do not publish the Daily Item on Christmas Day.

Pricing

Minimum Pricing applies to all obituaries:

Daily Item and Marblehead Weekly News minimum $175 includes up to 7 column inches - $25 per inch above that measure.

Lynnfield/Peabody Weekly News minimum of $100 includes up to 7 column inches - $16 per inch above that measure.

Notices placed in both the Daily Item and either the Marblehead Weekly News or the Lynnfield/Peabody Weekly News will receive 50% discount on the weekly paper’s rate.

Photo and Emblem Charges: Photo and emblems (flags, religious symbols, etc.) are included in the column rate. Photos are published in color wherever possible. 

Discounts for multiple days: The 2nd run of obituaries in the Daily Item or any weekly paper will be discounted by 50% off the first day price.
